Church Plant
Our first trip to Ojo de Agua was spent sharing the
gospel at the local clinic because there was no
church body or building. Evangelism and discipleship
continued and the church in Ojo de Aqua was born.
Leaders emerged and now a church building has been
built and worship service is held there weekly.
Pastors Ordained
Gustavo Amador first served as a translator on
our first mission trip through another
organization 14 years ago. As we continued to serve
the people of Soledad he continued to join us even
after leaving the previous organization. A clear
call was identified in he & his family’s life as
ministers. They were commissioned as full time
ministers & overseers of Mission One Heart and the
surrounding villages.
Education / Employment
Monica Ortez was drawn to our team from our very
first trip to the region. She was a bright girl about to
age out of the public school system at 9. She had very
little options for further education. Her options were
to marry, live with her single mother, or brave the
dangerous areas of the big city alone. Her high school
was able to be sponsored and she is now working at the
local government office in Soledad and able to help
support her whole family.
